Need To Be Strong to Protect Faith

Kesar Miya was a muslim disciple of Vadhvan. Kesar Miya’s relative many times came to him and asked him to leave this satsang saying Swaminarayan was just fraud and he should leave this satsang thing and believe in their religion.

He used to say to his relatives that this Swaminarayan was one who put him in good shape, helped him leave all the bad deeds and habits behind, and so they should not tell him to stop doing satsang.

Once he was assigned with a task under Bhanji Mehta's supervision at Dhangadrah. Bhanji Mehta was not a satsangi and would do anything to malice Maharaj.

Once a guy with fake tilak in head came down to meet these guys and asked for money saying he was on a trip and was short by few. So Bhanji Mehta, who was envying Maharaj, told that guy that if he spoke bad things about Swaminarayan then he would give him money. Kesar Miya heard this and he at once said to that guy “if you speak anything bad about my God, I will kill you”.

Bhanji Mehta got angry at Kesar Miya said you work for me how can you say a guy not to speak when I ordered. And he fired Kesar Miya. Kesar Miya was not concerned about his livelihood but was very disturbed when some one spoke bad about his beloved Maharaj.

Later when queen of Dhangadrah came to know about this incident and after realizing fact, he order Bhanji Mehta to take back Kesar Miya and she also increased salary of Kesar Miya.

Moral: Again thing to learn here is one should be proud of our satsang and Bhagwan Swaminarayan. We may not encounter situations when someone speaks bad about Maharaj, but someone may speak bad about our niyams and we must be bold in such circumstances.
