Amrutbai
Shreeji Maharaj and Dungarji Bhagat were passing by Langhnoj. On their way they met devotee Amrutbai. She was very pleased at the darshan of Shreeji Maharaj. It was evening so she asked Maharaj to come to her home, have food and stay there for a night.But Shreeji Maharaj maintained that He had to reach some other destination so He could not stay for the night and so they started walking further. Amrutbai felt there was some shortcoming in her devotion. On the other hand Shreeji Maharaj too felt the pull of her devotion and so further as they passed some farms Maharaj decided to spend the night in one of the farms. Maharaj asked the workers present there whose farm it was to which the workers said it was Amrutbai's.
Maharaj asked the workers to let her know that He and Dungarji were staying at her farm and that they would leave in the morning after having something to eat. Amritbai got the news and was very happy. She could not sleep in night in the excitement and thought of preparing meals for Maharaj in the morning. Very early in the morning after doing her pooja she prepared Rotli, sev in milk etc. and took milk and yogurt to feed Maharaj. It was dark and she wanted to take sugar with her, but instead she took flour. When she reached the farm it was still dark. Thinking of sugar she mixed the flour with milk and fed it to Maharaj. Seeing her affection Maharaj just had it. Maharaj then asked her to feed Dungarji. Dungarji had the food, but realized that she was mixing flour in the milk. He made her aware of the fact at which Amrutbai felt very guilty of feeding Maharaj such milk. She asked Maharaj to come to her home so she can feed her again but Maharaj said the other food will not have the same taste as this one.
Moral: Affection and feelings is what wins Shreeji Maharaj.
