"માનવતા ત્યાં પ્રભુતા"
જય સ્વામિનારાયણ...
એક યુવાન ખૂબ મોટી કંપનીમાં નોકરી કરતો હતો. તેનું નામ માનવ હતું. તે ઇલેક્ટ્રિકલ એન્જીનિયર હતો. તેને કોલ્ડ સ્ટોરેજ વિભાગમાં ફરજ સોંપવામાં આવી હતી. કોલ્ડ સ્ટોરેજનું ટેમ્પરેચર તેમાં ભરવામાં આવેલ ફળ કે શાકભાજી મુજબ જળવાઈ રહે એ જોવાની જવાબદારી માનવકુમારની હતી.
એક દિવસ માનવ સાંજના સમયે ઓફિસ છોડતા પહેલા એક કોલ્ડ સ્ટોરેજની ફરિયાદ હોવાથી તેની તપાસ માટે ગયો. ત્યારે બીજો કોઈ મદદનીશ સાથે ન હતો. તેણે કોલ્ડ કોલ્ડ સ્ટોરેજની મુલાકાત લીધી. મુલાકાત લઈને જેવો એ બહાર નીકળવા ગયો કે,એનું ધ્યાન પડયું કે બહાર નીકળવાનો દરવાજો લોક થઈ ગયો છે. માનવે દરવાજો ખોલવાના ખૂબ પ્રયાસ કર્યો. ખૂબ રાડો પણ પાડી પણ તેનો અવાજ બહાર જતો ન હતો. દરવાજો બહારથી જ ખુલી શકે તેમ હતો અને ઓફિસનો સમય પૂરો થવાથી હવે સ્ટાફ પણ નીકળી ગયો હોય.
પોતાનો જીવ બચાવવા માનવે ટેમ્પરેચરને વધારવાના પ્રયાસો કર્યા પણ ટેમ્પરેચર વધવાને બદલે ધીમે ધીમે ઘટવા લાગ્યું. માનવને થયું કે, આ ઠંડીથી તેનું મૃત્યુ થશે તે નક્કી છે. માનવ બેભાન થાય તે પહેલા કોલ્ડ સ્ટોરેજનો દરવાજો ખુલ્યો. સિક્યુરિટી ગાર્ડ માનવને લઈને બહાર આવ્યો. થોડું તાપણું કરી તેને માનવના શરીરને હૂંફ આપી.
થોડીવાર પછી માનવ ભાનમાં આવ્યો. તેણે સિક્યુરિટી ગાર્ડને પૂછ્યું, કોલ્ડ સ્ટોરેજની તપાસ કરવી એ તારી ફરજમાં નથી આવતું, તો પછી તું કોલ્ડ સ્ટોરેજમાં શું લેવા આવ્યો હતો? ગાર્ડે કહ્યું સાહેબ હું અહીં છેલ્લા બે માસથી અહીં નોકરી કરું છું. અહીં આવતા હજારો કર્મચારીઓમાં તમે એક એવા છો જે દરરોજ સવારે આવો ત્યારે મને 'ગુડ મોર્નિંગ' કરો છો,અને સાંજે પાછા જાવ ત્યારે 'ગુડ ઇવનિંગ' કરો છો. આજે સવારે તમારું ગુડ મોર્નિંગ સાંભળવા મળેલું પણ સાંજે તમારું ગુડ ઇવનિંગ સાંભળવા રાહ જોતો હતો. બધા કર્મચારીઓ જતા રહ્યા પણ તમને ન જોયા એટલે કંઈક અજુગતું બન્યાની શંકા ગઈ ને હું તમને શોધતા શોધતા કોલ્ડ સ્ટોરેજમાં આવી પહોંચ્યો.
"આપણે ભલે ગમે તેટલા ઊંચા સ્થાન પર હોઈએ, પરંતુ નાના માણસ પ્રત્યેનો આપણો ભાવ સમાન જોઈએ, જેવો મોટા માણસ પ્રત્યે આપણને હોય છે. જેમ સ્વછતા ત્યાં પ્રભુતા તેમ માનવતા ત્યાં પણ પ્રભુતા...."
Swami happened to see Valero first time face to face, Valero who normally was as tough as a stone, was visibly a softened on that day. Gunatitanand Swami asked, 'Are you the Valero Varu that we have heard of who causes fear and havoc?'. Valero replied,' Yes I am'. Gunatitanand Swami then asked, 'Why do you such crimes ?'. Valero replied, 'What can I do when my brother don’t give me my share of the property'. Gunatitanand Swami said, 'For your brother's fault why do harm and injustice to innocent people? What if you get your share of property back ?'. Valero replied, 'I will stop this act immediately then.'
Gunatitanand Swami then said, 'On the 7th day from now, you will get your property back'. Valero said, 'Swami, I am not literate and cannot count'. Swami took a rope and tied seven knots to that rope and told Valera that 'every morning you should untie a knot and the day that you untie the last knot, you will get your property back'. Valero asked, 'Swami today's morning has already occurred, so should I untie the knot?' Swami said, 'let me untie it for you'.
As Swami had said on the 7th day, Sidi Varu gave Valero Varu what he deserved. After this incident Valero Varu became a disciple of Shreeji Maharaj and would regularly do satsang with Gunatitanand Swami, he then became such a devotee that he would sit for hours counting rosary.

Valero Varu
Valero Varu and Sidi Varu were two brothers who fought over property and since Valero Varu did not get his share he became a bandit. Once Gunatitanand Swami and his sant mandal, were traveling through the area that controlled by Valero Varu. When the saints were passing through the woods they were confronted by Valero Varu and his men pointing guns at the saints. He said, 'Lay down all your belongings'. The satsangis were not worried of their belongings but about the saints getting hurt.Swami happened to see Valero first time face to face, Valero who normally was as tough as a stone, was visibly a softened on that day. Moral: If we wish to transform our lives we should associate ourselves with saints and do as they guide.
