ધુવા ગામનાં બે ભાઈઓ
ભક્ત ચિંતામણી માં ધુવા ગામ ના બે સગાભાઈ નો પ્રસંગ લખ્યો છે. મોટા ભાઈ નું નામ બુધ્ધ, નાના ભાઈ નું નામ મદારી હતું. આ બંને ભાઈ ખેતી કરતા હતા.પછી બંને ભાઈઓએ ભાગીદારમાં વેપાર કર્યો.નફો થયો. એ હિસાબમાં જરા મારૂ તારું થયું. ભાઈઓ વચ્ચે તિરાડ પડી. જ્યાં સુધી આપણી દુકાન,આપણી આવક, આપણી કંપની આપણો પરિવાર, આપણું કુટુંબ આપણો ખર્ચો, ત્યાંસુધી ઝઘડો કોઈ દિવસ નહિ થાય.પણ આ મારી આવક ને આ તારી, આ મારો ખર્ચો ને આ તારો ખર્ચો એટલે મારા મારી ચાલુ. મારું ને તારું એ કાતર ના બે પાંખીયા છે કાતર શું કામ કરે તે તમે સારીરીતે જાણોજ છો.એટલે બે ભાઈ વચ્ચે સંબંધ કપાયા. ચાર ધડી ઝઘડી ને ઘરે ગયા.
બંને ભાઈ ના મનમાં એજ વિચાર ચાલતા હતા. રાત્રે પથારીમાં નીંદર નથી આવતી. મોટા ભાઈ ને વિચાર આવ્યો કે મોટા ભાઈ તરીકે મારી ફરજ છે કે મારે નામી દેવું જોઈએ. મારે તેનું ધ્યાન રાખવું જોઈએ. એ નાનો છે એનો એવો અર્થ નથી કે તે મારી હાયે હામાં હા કરે. નાનો ભાઈ ભલે વેગમાં આવીને મને સંભળાવી ગયો. મેં પણ સામે જડબાતોડ ઉત્તર આપ્યા છે. કાયમ માટે મારી આજ્ઞા પાળી છે.આજે કદાચ તમોગુણ ના વેગમાં આવીને સામે બોલ્યો હોય તો શું મોટા તરીકે મારે માફ ન કરી દેવાય।. હું સમજુ થઇ ને ઝાઘડું તો સમાજમાં અમારા કુંટુંબની આબરૂ નું શું ? લોકો કહેશે સ્વામીનારાયણીયા સગાભાઈ વચ્ચે ઝઘડા છે. મનમાં પસ્તાવો થયો. સવારે ઉઠીને માફી માંગવાનું નક્કી કર્યું. રાત્રે નીંદર ન આવતા સવારે વહેલા ઉઠીને પૂજા કરવા બેઠા. દિન ભાવે પ્રભુ ને વિનવે છે. કરગરી ને પ્રભુ પાસે માફી માંગતા કહે હે દયાળુ ! હું આપનો ગુનેગાર છું.મેં આપના ભક્તનો દ્રોહ કર્યો છે.મને ક્ષમા કરો.
હૃદયમાંથી નીકળેલી પ્રાર્થના સાંભળીને સ્વામીનારાયણ ભગવાન પધાર્યા. મોટા ભાઈ બુદ્ધ ના મસ્તક ઉપર હાથ મુક્યો. ભગતે સામે મહારાજ ને ઉભેલા જોઈ બેસવા માટે ઠોલિયો ઠાળીયો. પ્રભુ વિરાજમાન થયા.નાના ભાઈને સંદેશો મોકલાવ્યો. દૂધપાક પૂરીનો થાળ તૈયાર કર્યો. નાનોભાઈ પૂજામાં બેઠો હતો.ચાલ, મહારાજ પધાર્યા છે ને તને બોલાવેછે . નાનાભાઈ ને રીસ તો હતી કે હવે બુદ્ધ ના ઘરે ક્યારેય જવું નથી. પરંતુ મહારાજનું નામ સાંભળી ને દોડતો આવ્યો. શ્રીજી મહારાજે હજી જમવાનું ચાલુ નહોતું કર્યું. એ વખતે પ્રભુએ હાથમાં કોળીયો લઈને કહ્યું બોલો જમવાનું શરુ કરીએ? હા ! મહારાજ. ના એમ નહિ. તમે બંને ભાઈ એક બીજાની માફી માગો પછી અમે જમીશું. બંને ભાઈઓએ માફી માગી , એકબીજાને દંડવત પ્રણામ કાર્ય. પછી પ્રભુએ ભોજન કર્યું.
આ પ્રસંગ ઉપરથી ખ્યાલ આવે કે મહારાજ આપણા પરિવારમાં સંપ જોવા માંગે છે.

Gold and Dust are Equal
Ghela Koli of Limdi village was a true devotee of Shreeji Maharaj. Though he was born in the lower cast, he was noble and towering by character. The severe famine of VS 1869 (1813 CE) had spread its tentacles of suffering and death on the land of Kathiawad. Many migrated to south Gujarat to survive and eke out a livelihood.
Ghela Koli and his wife, too, were heading optimistically towards the town of Surat. On the way Ghela bhakta's eyes fell upon a shiny ornament. It was an expensive anklet that someone had lost. Despite his poverty, Ghela bhakta had no desire to take it. But he thought about his wife who was a few furlongs behind him. Being a woman she would be enticed to take it, and it would amount to a transgression of Bhagwan Swaminarayan's words. So thinking that, Ghela bhakta covered the anklet with dirt.
After a while when his wife caught up with him, she asked, “What were you doing sitting down a little while back?” Ghela bhakta revealed to her his thoughts about the anklet and added, “To prevent you from seeing it, I covered it with dirt.”
“Why did you cover dirt upon dirt? I see other's possession same as dirt!” Ghela bhakta's wife nobly responded. Ghela bhakta was surprised and fascinated by his wife's resolve.
Despite having hard times, Ghela bhakta remained steadfast to Bhagwan Swaminarayan's instruction of not taking a thing lying on the wayside. His wife even perceived other's valuable possession as dirt!
Moral: We should be determined to follow Maharaj’s aagnya (command) even in the hard times.
