Gopinathdasji Swami's Service

Every one is well aware of Adbhutanand Swami. Adbhutanand Swami was the one who left his marriage and became a sadhu. He did lot of Seva of Maharaj and got blessings from Maharaj many times.

Once when Adbhutanand Swami asked for bhiksha some evil minded people mixed poison in it and unfortunately Swami happened to eat that poisoned food.  Shreeji Maharaj saved Swami but the poison had an effect on his body.  At age of 100, his body became very weak and needed bed rest. Purani Gopinathdasji Swami was studying in Vadtal at that time.  Purani Swami while studying was extremely devout to Seva of other elder saints. Purani started doing Seva (service) of Adbhutanand swami. Purani Swami would take care of Adbhutanand Swami’s every need and he did so very lovingly. Adbhutanand Swami was pleased with Purani swami's service.

Once purani swami was sitting besides Swami and warming his feet. Adbhutanand Swami felt peace and fell asleep. Normally Adbhutanand Swami would ask Purani Swami to stop but today he felt so pacified that he forgot that Purani Swami was at his service. Purani Swami did this for the whole night and when Swami woke up in morning, he was pleased on Purani swami and blessed him by saying that he would become very learned saint of the holy fellowship and as our holy fellowship’s history says, Purani Swami was indeed the scholar who went to Kashi in modern times to quell doubts about the authenticity of the satsang.

MoralWe should feel privilege if we can get chance to serve saints as nothing more would benefit us by serving saint in this world and the the world after our death.
